Join Tucson Improv Movement for storytelling, improv, and standup comedy featuring some of the funniest local & out-of-town comedians and storytellers at the Cactus Flower Comedy Festival.  Our goal is to feature diverse women and gender non-conforming performers and bring together individuals from all walks of comedy. In addition to hilarious shows, we will hosting workshops to increase the level of all performers in our community. Workshops are open to all genders!.

JILL BERNARD (she/her) has been performing with ComedySportz-Twin Cities since 1993, and is a founding member of HUGE Theater in Minneapolis. Her one-woman improv piece, Drum Machine, has been featured in over forty improv festivals. She has taught and performed improv in Argentina, Australia, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Colombia, England, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden Switzerland, the United Arab Emirates and in over forty of the United States; and also on an episode of MTV “Made.” Drum Machine is Jill Bernard's one-person sweepingly epic unscripted musical featuring multiple characters in scenes, monologues and songs accompanied by electronic drum beats or in collaboration with a musician.

SHANNON STOTT is an improvisor, based in Austin, TX. She has been performing and teaching improvisational theater since 2001 getting her start with ComedySportz Richmond. She has taught nationally and internationally and is currently working on a YouTube channel sharing improv lessons and tools to enrich improvisers journeys. Shannon has seen improv change lives on and off the stage and strives to teach improv so that it continues to do so.

Mo Urban is a Tucson comedian who runs a weekly open mic comedy show at Café Passe every Wednesday and also produced and co-hosted and co-produced the Comedy at The Wench showcase with Roxy Merrari. She also cohosts and co-produces The Dating Game at The Flycatcher with Bethany Evans and the comedy variety show “What Now” with Amber Frame at Tucson Improv Movement. Female StoryTellers (FST) was founded in 2012 as a way for women to share their stories and their voices and platform for women of Tucson to express themselves. We work to promote feminism and equality In our community by empowering women. Each month women are invited to share their stories in the form of a 10-15 minute monologue. Our theme changes every month, but our mission remains the same- give women a space to speak and share.

Community and business leader Randi Dorman loves showing what is possible in Tucson. From downtown redevelopment to the arts to politics, she likes to be involved in all of it. She was was named Most Influential Woman in Tucson in AZ Foothills Magazine three years in a row, and last year she took the plunge into politics and ran for Mayor of Tucson. She’ll be telling stories to inspire improv for the Soap Box on Friday at 9pm.
